Before the incident
I had just picked up the trash from the Clinical Decision Unit and came to Outpatient Surgery to pick up the trash.
What happened
At [REDACTED]. I was picking up trash in Outpatient Surgery. I was transfering a bag of trash from the cart in the Soiled Utility Room to the trash cart I had with me. I lightly press my hand on the bag and something sharp poked the right side of my left thumb. Right after i made sure to wash my hands then went to the ED.
