On [REDACTED] at his final delivery stop located on a military base [REDACTED] positioned the truck as close as possible to the assigned dock The shipment consisted of six cases and because of the limited quantity he began unloading without engaging the liftgate While attempting to retrieve his hand truck it slipped causing his right hand to strike the rear of the trailerliftgate He immediately felt pain in his right hand particularly in the pinky finger
