Before the incident
On [REDACTED] Employee was climbing off of a ladder near the bun oven after making a repair When they had gotten to the floor they swung their arm back from the momentum of climbing down from the ladder and hit their hand on the corner of a gear box near the oven infeed that they did not see resulting in a radial fracture (hairline) They took themselves to the doctor and did not report it to their Supervisor right away as they thought it was ok that day but the [REDACTED] it was still bothering them and was swollen They went to the doctor on [REDACTED] and the doctor asked if it was a work related injury The doctor explained that if it was work related then there are different additional steps that need to be taken and the employee said he didnt have time for that so he just made up that he hit his hand on a door knob at home
