Driving the lift truck in the aisle between lamination and twin calender.

Associate was in training in Lamination and went to get a pallet but noticed their computer wasn 't working correctly. He turned around in the lift truck to go find his trainer and drove towards the Lamination staging area. He didn 't see the column because the mast was blocking it at first but knew it was there and when he realized he was close to it he tried to slam on the brakes. He hit one of the forks on pole [REDACTED]. The lift is being sent in to get inspected because the associate thought that the brakes or steering may have not been working correctly. When the associate got off the lift and was talking to the Lead he felt pain in his back that was getting worse.
