What happened
On the day of the incident somone removed the back stop metal plate from the rear of the trailer. When I put back plate back into the slot it got stuck and I pushed with my left hand. That is when the palte shifted back in to place but my thumb squeezed by the plate during he sudden shift.

Left hand and left thumb got pinch on the back stop. No use of left hand. Contusion of left thumb without damage to nail.
