Employee was trying to clear out a jam on the conveyor due to a turned case coming through the sorter and getting stuck when transiting from the sorter to the conveyor belt.

The Sorter was not moving due to the jam so the employee thought that the sorter exit conveyor was not running because the sorter was down. Employee did not lock out the conveyor before trying to remove the turned case and did not realize that there was still energy going to the belt. She then put her left hand underneath the case to remove it causing her hand to be pulled into the pinch point.
