What happened
The associate 's ring finger on his left hand was severed.
Injury or illness
The maintenance manager was operating an electric center rider pallet jack and transporting a scissor lift across the warehouse. Associate was traveling forward with the scissor lift positioned on the forks behind him. The employee had his right hand on the steering wheel and his left hand resting behind him on the scissor lift. As he was driving the EPJ lowered down unexpectedly. As the scissor lift shift from the EPJ motion the associate tried to remove his hand but the ring on his ring finger was caught on a bolt on the scissor lift.
