What happened

The associate approached the supervisor on duty & claimed to have pain in their right shoulder. They claimed to have been experiencing this for about 2 weeks & had purchased an over the counter medication for self treatment at home. The associate claimed the pain was caused from repetitive movement operation the MHE.

Injury or illness

Patient was complaining of right shoulder pain due to repetitive motion. Pain over anterior & superior shoulder. When the patient was palpating her own shoulder she grimaced with even the lightest of touch but when the treating technician at the clinic did deep palpating to her shoulder while distracting her with conversation she did not flinch at all. The pain seems out of proportion to the exam. The preliminary x ray reading did not reveal acute fracture or dislocation. Suspect tendinitis due to repetitive motion.
