Moving and Cleaning Lifter Mechanisms

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] Seamer Services Technician EE was cleaning lifters (mechanism) in the Seamer Services Workshop. During this process the employee was said to be moving the lifter from the cart to the station. At the time of movement the employee was using a good amount of force to lift the lifter (mechanism) which slipped from their grasp and caused the employee to lose balance to fall to the ground. The employee fell to the ground and hit their head causing a contusion and laceration to the rear side of their head. The EE was able to recover as well as attempt to alert their supervisor. Other Seamer Technicians arrived on scene getting the employee moved to the [REDACTED] alongside with CCA First Reponders. Once in the [REDACTED] the employee was treated for the laceration. It is noted that the employee was coherent and able to verbalize what was going on. After the treatment was given he was then escorted to the WorkCare facility to further assess the injurie
