Before the incident
Client had been dysregulated in rehab due to her lunchbox being brought into the room. After the lunchbox was removed client remained in a dysregulated state and persistently attempted to bite therapists. Client requested to return to the Pod and after successful transition client was regulated and engaging playfully with the therapist for approximately 10 minutes.
What happened
Therapist placed fine motor task materials were set on the table (without any demands being placed) client again became dysregulated and aggressed. Client bit the medial side of the therapist 's right knee. The bite was through pants and broke the skin and caused bleeding. The bite left a mark 1-1.5 inches long.
