What happened
After I took the blood from the patient I was holding my supplies in one hand. I activated the safety switch to cover the needle tip and when I was doing this the patient moved suddenly and unexpectedly and by instinct I grabbed my hand full of supplies. When I did this I felt a poke into my thumb.
