THE EE WAS IN THE AMBULANCE TRANSPORTING A PATIENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND WHILE DOING SO THE EE HAD TO ADMINISTER A MEDICATION TO THE PATIENT. AFTER ADMINISTERING THE MEDICATION HE WAS DISPOSING OF THE SYRINGE WHEN THE PATIENT STRETCHED OUT HIS HAND SINCE HE WAS NOT BEING COOPERATIVE. AS THE PATIENT STRETCHED OUT HIS HANDS HE STRUCK THE EE 'S HAND CAUSING HIM TO SUSTAIN A NEEDLE STICK ON HIS RIGHT KNEE RESULTING IN A MINOR PUNCTURE OF THE SKIN.
