What happened

[REDACTED] around [REDACTED] our [REDACTED] operator was in the process of removing the wires from the coil and the tag so he could feed it into the machine. While taking the tag off the employee’s right index finger was poked with the tag end of the wire at the tag. The wire punched through the cut level 9 gloves he was wearing at the time. The employee continued to work until close to [REDACTED] when he realized that he was feeling some discomfort and it felt like there was something in his finger at which time he reported it to his shift leader. The Shift leader called to health services and got APS and was told by them to take the employee to the emergency room.
