What happened
Anesthesia was called in to place an IV in patient and employee was assisting with procedure. The needle was placed on patients lap and was obscured by a blanket. Laboratory tubes were also on the patient 's lap and employee grabbed them to hand off to the CRNA. Employee felt a minor poke and the needle was hanging from right hand glove.
