Working with patient in rehab gym

Pt was with therapist in rehab gym to complete functional mobility training was performing 1 inch step down on curb with use of bariatric RW pt lead with right leg instead of left as instructed multiple times and therefore causing weak left leg to fail. Therapist lowered pt to elevated curb flooring to reduce injury to pt by preventing a direct impact fall to pt back. Pt was wearing back brace gate belt and use of RW to assist with skill. Therapist was positioned behind pt to assist properly as pt stepped down 1 inch step attempted to verbally correct pt technique to lead with left and not the right as instructed. Pt fall resulted in therapist having to assist the 330 lb man to safe landing and use both arms upper back lower back and both legs in manner as trained to assist in case like this one.
