Before the incident
Employee was standing aside dock plate awaiting another employee to drop the dock plate onto his shuttle truck parked at the warehouse dock.
What happened
While the dock plate was lowering employee stepped onto dock plate to allow for dock plate to lower at an accelerated rate when the employee involved in the injury had themselves positioned next to a pinch point between the dock plate and dock housing. Employee had their foot pitched in between the gap before they managed to free it.
