Gave a Sub-Q [REDACTED] into the back of a patient 's arm. The [REDACTED] does not have a safety mechanism in place I was trying to re-cap the needle to dispose of it in the sharps. I missed the needle cap and pricked my finger through a pair of chemo gloves. Next time I give this injection I will not rec-cap the needle. No information on manufacturer website or box on the gauge of the [REDACTED] needle. [REDACTED] comes prefilled in a syringe with no safety mechanism.
