What happened
Patient MRN XXX this patient has been involved in a fight arrived at the ER in an agitated state. He was given a fluid bolus; however once the infusion was completed he remains agitated and began attempting to get out of the bed which made me somewhat nervous. Subsequently I proceed to remove his IV line because there was a slight increase in blood along the tubing. When I disconnected the line blood with normal saline splashed into my left eye.
