What happened
Upon looking through the room I found sterile instruments in the sink. I picked the instruments up to clean per unit policy. I did not see that the one needle driver still had a hooked needle in it. When I picked up the instruments the needle poked through my glove and broke the skin on my left hand. The instruments appear to be from a chest tube insertion tray.
