Before the incident
An associate was in the process of installing a roll of plastic wrap on the pallet wrapper While carrying the plastic roll they stepped over the pallet wrapper to dispose of the outer plastic covering As they attempted to step over the pallet wrapper a second time their foot caught the edge of the pallet wrapper causing them to fall During the fall the associates hands struck the concrete floor and the plastic wrap roll landed on their left thumb At the time of the incident the associate did not report the injury stating they felt fine and decided to shake it off [REDACTED] day after going home and sleeping the associate noticed abnormal pain in their hand They visited a walkin clinic where a fracture was diagnosed The associate then notified their bid level by text message of the incident
