What happened

Description: On [REDACTED] The Painter at [REDACTED] was in Secondary Clarifier 13 to prepare for some painting that needed to be done. He proceeded to walk under a catwalk and beam and his hard hat was knocked off by the beam from not ducking low enough. He bent down to retrieve the hard hat and as he stood up to put the hard hat back on his head hit the end of the catwalk beam as pictured below. He then proceeded to climb the ladder to exit the Clarifier not realizing he was bleeding till it ran down his face. His shop is right next to [REDACTED] so he got a rag and called me over. When I got to his shop the bottom of the hard hat was bloody and most of the bleeding was stopped . I did inform employee at that time that he needed to get seen just to make sure no stitches were needed and to at least get it cleaned out. Employee was seen at Concentra and His wound was cleaned out and received 1 stitch. Suspected Cause: Lack of awareness of surroundings. Misjudgement of heights. Unsecure
