IE was sewing and caught their finger in the sewing machine the employee was sewing a 4 inch sling and the finger went in with the sling. Employee was not paying attention while sewing the sling and the finger went under the foot of the machine. Employee was placed on restriction. Injury was listed as a crush injury to finger displaced fracture of distal phalanx of left middle finger. Sewing machine was placed out of service until a 3rd part could come and look at it.
