While assisting the patient from a chair back to bed and lifting the patient s legs onto the bed the employee experienced sudden lower back pain The employee took ibuprofen and applied a hot pack The incident was reported to the charge nurse and Emergency Department evaluation was offered but declined The employee stated she was able to complete the remainder of the shift and was advised to seek assistance with patient care tasks as needed
