Moving the empty glass rack

EE states while in the process of moving the glass rack the spring is broken on the hitch so when it was coming down I tried to stop it from hitting me and the moving object hit my left middle finger I came initially to medical but I thought it would be okay its still swollen and painful to touch and it wont straighten out
