Operator [REDACTED] was working in [REDACTED] was trying to extent [REDACTED] cart. When going to slide the cart the cart was binding and the operator pull on it. Operator then felt popping in lower back area. Then grab a hammer to free the part and the pain was too intense. Stopped activity and call supervisor immediately. Then referred to safety [REDACTED].
