I was in a pt room helping the primary RN get blood for labs and tried to butterfly the patient and then went to pick up butterfly needle that we used for labs and poked left index finger. Safey device was partly engaged but thought she had engaged it fully after the blood drawPt was withdrawing from ETOH and would not stop moving and jerking.
