changing sharp bin

I was asked to replace a sharps bin inside of OR 1. The bin was overflowing so I had to slightly compress some of the wires on top of the bin in order to close it. I felt the pinch of the needle and immediately noticed a puncture point in my glove. The needle was a small nerve-monitoring needle used for spine cases. Upon noticing the puncture point bleeding I immediately went to clean the wound with soap water and alcohol. I then informed my charge nurse [REDACTED] who instructed me to come down to employee health to file an incident report
