What happened
Employee was getting oversized items from in and out of building with two interns. They were in the loading area and there is a side gate to get items in and out of the building. The side gate is a manual roll-up gate where you have to pull the chain in order for the gate to move up and down – the chain rotates in circles and moves up and down. The gate opens very slowly. He noticed that he was sore right away but over the next 2 to 3 days it bothered him more. The soreness and now pain has lingered and has limited his range of motion. The action of the manual roll-up gate is what caused the left shoulder soreness and pain.
