While pulling a cart with two coffee urns to set up in a meeting room the employee encountered difficulty as the cart became stuck on the carpet. Attempting to move it forward she applied force causing the cart to jolt forward. She noticed the coffee urns tipping and instinctively stretched out her arms to catch them. In the process hot coffee spilled onto her left arm leading to immediate redness and blistering.
