What happened

I was at the nurses station grabbing paper work to be ready for dayshift while standing next to a fellow coworker that was passing out meds to the patient. As I turn my head to bend over and grab something I hear a loud thud and turn to see the patient on the floor unconscious. I immediately slide to the floor help the nurse re position the patient out of the corner of the door. As repositioning the patient I look down and see blood all over my hands with no gloves and wrist and the floor. I immediately yelled out that he was bleeding and the nurse handed me a towel and I continued to apply pressure to the large laceration on his head until another person came to replace my spot.
