What happened
Three maintenance employees were demoing a sludge pump in the 2nd basement level of the clarifier pump house. An employee removed the guard on the belts and started to cut the belts with his pocketknife. The four belts are V type about three quarter in size by three quarters in size. The employee was kneeling down cutting towards his right thigh. The knife slipped on the belt and the employee cut himself in the right thigh. The laceration was approximately one inch in length.
