Before the incident
I worked with a patient for 4 days in a row who had eye redness and irritation. I woke up on [REDACTED] with symptoms of pink eye. I called out sick and went to urgent care. I was prescribed antibiotic eye drops. I returned to work on 4825. When I arrived to work on 4925 I was informed that this pt was newly on contact isolation for eye infection. I submitted an incident report because it seems likely that I contracted pink eye from this patient. The employee health nurse confirmed that it was likely I contracted it from this patient.
