Before the incident
1cc of air was injected into the methylene blue vial utilizing a 10cc syringeneedle. When drawing the methylene blue the rubber stopper popped off resulting in methylene blue splattering into my face and eyes. I then went to the eye wash station and began flushing my eyes for 10-15 mins with water. I then went to the womens locker room removed my contacts and washed my face. [REDACTED] came with me and additionally flushed by eyes with normal sailne. [REDACTED] came into the locker room and we then went straight to the ER at [REDACTED]. I was seen by [REDACTED] in the ER. He examined both eyes and consulted doctor [REDACTED]. Treatment plan was maxitrol drops gtts TID for 7 days. Currently no pain or vision problems. If any arise I am to make an appointment to see [REDACTED].
