Before the incident
While conducting a rescue for a fallen victim I went down a very long hill that was fairly steep. After the rescue was completed I began to make my way back up the hill. Approx. 13 of the way up my legs gave out. I rested a few minutes and attempted to continue up the hill. I was unable to bear weight on both legs became nauseated and lightheaded. Any attempt to move my legs or stand resulted in excruciating pain. I was then packed up the hill in a basket and taken to the ambulance where again I was unable to bear any weight or stand on my own.
