What happened
While attempting to pull the roll off the hoist got hung up on what was believed to be debris inside the hoist. The team member operating the hoist attempted to free the hoist from the stuck position when the hoist broke free causing the roll to swing striking the team member which resulted in the lacerations of their finger between the roll and the feed roll shaft.
