Replacing the drive shaft for a palletizer.

While replacing the drive shaft for the palletizer two team members were holding the shaft which is about 80 lbs and trying to position it correctly. The other gentleman holding the shaft lost his grip and let go of the shaft. The shaft shifted down on his end and up on the injured employee 's end causing my hand to get caught in-between the palletizer frame and the shaft. The shaft and palletizer frame cause two separate lacerations on both sides of the injured employee 's hand.

Laceration and crush on employees left hand.
