What happened
While climbing the tower his left knee made contact with a long piece of steel ( (used to lock ladder when not in use not intended to be removed) that was in his field of travel. Later the same day while being lowered down during rescue training his coworker temporarily lost control of the lowering device and he dropped down where his right arm hit the tower.
