Associate unlocked a camlocked hose containing Benzyl Alcohol when preparing for a change over at the pour line. The associate was in the process of helping team to prepare for the next type of pour.

Associate was instructed by supervisor to bring an empty and clean hose from one area of the Pour line to the deck of the pour line. Instead of doing this the associate misunderstood the request and proceeded to unlock a cam lock fitted hose line that had just finished cycling with Benzyl Alcohol. The line was still under pressure and sprayed the associate 's face and eyes when removing.

Injury of the right cornea - considered a corneal abrasion.
