Before the incident
Employee was removing an upper sprocket assembly on our A bulk machine using a brass rod and a 2lb. sledge hammer.
What happened
While employee was striking the brass rod on the sprocket assembly shaft with the 2 lb. sledge hammer to remove it the employee missed the rod and struck the top of his left hand thumb area with the hammer.
