Employee had opened grinder to clear plastic jam. When he rotated the grinder shaft his hand was caught between stationary and rotating blade.

When you rotate the shaft by hand the shaft sometimes over-rotates. This happened and trapped employee 's hand. The new employee had the wrong PPE - Should have had cut level 5 gloves with impact protection.

Contusion and laceration requiring sutures.
