While trying to dislodge the part from the die the employee put a steel pipe with a closed end over the sprue. The employee went to his the piece of steel with the shortened hammer in his right hand his aim was off and with his right wrapped around the hammer his tight pointer finger struck the steel with so much that is too the tip of his finger off.
