Checking the operation of the equipment and ensuring that everything was running properly.

He was on top of the clod hopper and due to a build up of clods potatoes weren 't moving down the belt. He saw the need to clean the belt and he asked another employee to help. While sitting on a drum he began to clean out the clods. Further help was requested and the employee that was asked misheard and thought he was asked to turn the belt on. When the equipment was on it took 5-7 seconds before it was shut off.
