Operating the crane to move raw material to a material storage rack
What happened
Worker placed wood 2 x 4s spaced out along the length of the material that was already on the storage rack. A coworker stated that they heard the wood cracking but continued to lower the load on top of the wood 2 x 4s. One of the 2 x 4s snapped causing the raw material to slip sideways and hit the steel post of the storage rack. the post snapped off hitting the employee and throwing the employee into the wall.
