What happened
I administered [REDACTED] shot to patient. I removed the needle from the patient 's abdomen. My left hand was holding patient 's abdomen and I was using my right hand to administer the medication. I removed the needle from the patient 's abdomen. At the same time a coworker came into room to check on patient. I turned my head and moved my hand and scrapped my finger with the [REDACTED] needle. I took my gloves off and washed my hands then notified my unit manager.
