What happened
I was scanning a 300+ pound patient [REDACTED] for a DVT study. I was using my right hand scanning pts right distal thigh (probe on thigh) and using my left hand to reach distal to the probe to augment the right calf to obtain the images that we need. This is how we are taught to do perform this study. When I was reaching I felt a pull sensation in my right anterior shoulder.
