Obtaining urine culture specimen
What happened
I was obtaining a urine specimen from the BD vacutainer urine cup. After successfully getting the specimen. I went to attach the specimen to the top of the cup until ready to be ordered. In midst of doing this my RT 2nd finger slipped into the need containing reservoir. Puncturing the tip of my RT 2nd finger through my glove. I removed the glove and noticed immediately bleeding. I washed my hands with soap and hebaiclens. Then used applied a band aid..
