Before the incident
I was flipping the cans in the hopper before the dogs hinger broke on the side.
What happened
As I was dumping the can in the hopper dogs hinger broke on the side of the truck broke causing the lift gate to open up. Then as the lift gate sprung open the passenger back step hit my right thigh and threw me in the air about 20 feet. I landed on my left side of my body. Couldn 't move until the paramedics came.
