removing roller from mixer truck

A mechanic was attempting to replace a mixer truck drum roller that had been stuck to the frame with dried concrete. The roller was not budging so he was using a pry bar to free it from the concrete. The roller became unbalanced so the mechanic reached out his hands in an attempt to catch it. As he caught it he felt a pop in his left shoulder followed by numbness and then immediate pain. He used his free hand to push the roller off of him and it landed on the ground. The pain radiated around his shoulder and did not stop. He reported the injury to his supervisor who then called safety. The employee was taken to OccMed in [REDACTED] where X-rays were performed and it was determined that he sprained a muscle in his shoulder.
