What happened
The seal from the roots blower at the [REDACTED] had failed Maintenance was tasked with replacing the seal The seal had to be torqued to 120 ftlbs at 8 bolts at the flange The only way to get to this flange to tighten these bolts is to lay flat on your back and reach up from underneath the flange As the maintenance technician was torqueing one of the bolts their hand slipped off of the wrench and into the frame of the machine The left middle finger came in contact with the machine with force causing the tip of the finger to break and split open
