Normal Operations

An [REDACTED] employee lost the key to the lock on their locker. The [REDACTED] Supervisor made a request to have it removed. A Team Leader went to get a pair of bolt cutters from the maintenance shop. The Team Leader returned to the [REDACTED] lunchroom area and holding the 24 inch bolt cutter up horizontally positioned the bolt cutter blade on the lock for locker number 56 as requested. By pulling the two handles of the bolt cutter together the Team Leader applied pressure to the lock but the cutter would not break through the lock shackle. The Team Leader repeated this process two times with no success. The Team Leader then returned the 24 inch bolt cutter to the shop and observed there was a larger size and decided to try this cutter on the lock. The Team Leader followed the same process as noted above holding the bolt cutter horizontally positioning the bolt cutter blade on the lock shackle and depressing the handles to try to cut the lock.
